Harvey, the legal AI company, has acquired Aida, a startup that built an AI assistant for sales teams. Harvey announced the deal in a blog post on October 29, 2026. Aida was co-founded by Piyush Prahladka, one of the co-founders of Glean, and Atish Das Sarma.

The companies did not disclose the price or other financial terms. Prahladka, Das Sarma and Aida's team of search and machine learning engineers will join Harvey's product and engineering organisation. Harvey did not say what will happen to Aida's sales product or its existing customers.

Aida is Harvey's fifth acquisition of 2026. The company said the deal follows its purchases of Guardrails AI in September and Benchmark in July. Artificial Lawyer, which reported the deal the same day, noted that Harvey has mostly not been buying traditional legal tech companies.

What Aida built

Harvey described Aida as an AI-native sales execution platform. On its own website, Aida pitches the product as a digital twin that runs alongside each sales rep and keeps the full context of every deal. The software captures calls, emails, Slack threads and CRM notes automatically, so reps do not have to log their activity by hand, and it tracks commitments made in each conversation.

From that record, the twin flags deals that are stalling or prospects who have gone quiet, drafts follow-up emails, and prepares coaching for a rep before the next call rather than in a review afterwards. Aida works inside tools reps already use, including email and Slack, records meetings in person or online, and has a mobile app. The company's site quotes an account executive at a customer called Eve, who says it is the first place they go with questions about a deal.

Dealroom lists Aida as based in Palo Alto and founded in 2024. It records one funding round, an $11 million seed round in October 2025 at a $45 million valuation, with Ascolta Ventures as the only named investor. Neither Harvey nor Aida confirmed those figures.

Why Harvey is buying

Harvey did not present the deal as a move into sales software. It said it is buying the team's experience with search and machine learning to speed up a project to help each law firm build its own ontology, a structured map of the firm's knowledge that gives Harvey's agents and models more context to work with. Harvey said that as context becomes an organisation's advantage, firms that own theirs will stand out.

Harvey told Artificial Lawyer that agents can already do far more than they do today, and that what holds them back is that they do not know enough about the organisation they work for. The Aida team, it said, will push forward its work on firm ontologies.

Harvey chief executive Winston Weinberg said legal teams have decades of knowledge locked in documents and systems that are hard to search and connect, and that unlocking it securely would change how they work. He said Prahladka and Das Sarma have deep experience with that problem. Prahladka said Aida was founded on the belief that AI could understand the context of people's work and turn scattered information into action, and that Harvey gives the team a chance to apply that to one of the most knowledge-heavy professions.

The founders

Prahladka is a co-founder of Glean, and Harvey said the pair's search and machine learning skills fit with work its product teams are already doing to help firms take control of their internal context. Das Sarma previously led engineering, data science and growth teams at Patreon, Apple and X, according to Harvey.

Artificial Lawyer said that whatever happens to Aida's technology, the founders are strong hires for Harvey. Harvey did not say what roles the two will take or how many people are joining.

Harvey keeps buying

Aida brings Harvey's count of acquisitions for the year to five. Benchmark in July and Guardrails AI in September came before Aida, and the company's website promotes a recent $550 million raise at a $15.5 billion valuation. Artificial Lawyer described the Aida deal as another sign that well-funded legal AI platforms are buying talent and technology to grow faster.
