HR Path, a French HR consulting and HR information systems group, has acquired SnapAI, a Paris start-up that specialises in artificial intelligence governance and regulatory compliance. HR Path announced the deal in Paris on October 12, 2026.

Financial terms were not disclosed, and HR Path declined to comment on the price, Outsource Accelerator reported.

SnapAI's co-founder Pierre Soulier is joining HR Path as part of the transaction. The company was co-founded by Ahmed Salama and Soulier. HR Path did not say whether SnapAI will keep operating under its own name.

What SnapAI does

SnapAI works on AI oversight and compliance. Outsource Accelerator described it as an early-stage Paris company that helps organisations identify and understand how they use AI, a starting point for any compliance programme.

HR Path's announcement presented the start-up's value in regulatory terms. Under the European Union's AI Act, AI systems used in recruitment, assessment and employee management can fall into high-risk categories, which carry stricter obligations for the companies that deploy them. HR Path said SnapAI's governance and compliance expertise will let it help clients deploy AI in a way that is both ambitious and controlled.

SnapAI's founding date, headcount and funding history were not disclosed.

Dealroom, which covered the deal on the day it was announced, described the purchase as a way for HR Path to speed up its push into AI services. The announcement did not name any SnapAI customers or products.

Why HR Path is buying

HR Path was founded in 2001 and operates in 34 countries with nearly 2,900 employees. It sells three lines of service: advice on HR strategy and processes, implementation of HR software, and outsourcing of HR and payroll work.

The company said it sees AI as a major opportunity to change how HR work is done, by taking over repetitive tasks so staff can focus on work of higher value. It has set up an internal AI task force to find and assess use cases, and it recently launched an AI consulting offer that covers AI maturity and HR data assessments, prioritising use cases, process changes, adoption and skills training, and roadmaps for measuring the value AI creates.

HR Path said it plans to bring AI into all three of its service lines: advising clients on AI strategy, building AI into the HR software it installs, and automating some of the activities it runs for outsourcing clients. The SnapAI deal is meant to strengthen its AI expertise and speed up the launch of new AI-based services, according to the announcement.

The announcement was distributed in several languages, including German, English and Portuguese, reflecting HR Path's presence in 34 countries. The release named no executive spokesperson. Outsource Accelerator reported a statement from SnapAI's co-founders describing the deal as a way to combine their AI expertise with HR Path's in-depth knowledge of HR functions.

A busy month of deals for HR Path

SnapAI was the first of two acquisitions HR Path announced in October. On October 21 it said it had bought Payroll Experts Australia, a Brisbane company founded in 2009 that has delivered more than 530 payroll compliance and HR systems projects for over 260 organisations in Australia and New Zealand.

That deal extends a run of purchases in the region. HR Path entered Australia in 2019 by buying DDG, opened an Australian office in 2024 and acquired RKM Consulting in 2025. Payroll Experts Australia will keep its leadership and staff and trade as "Payroll Experts Australia, an HR Path Company".

Payroll Experts Australia works independently of any software vendor. HR Path said it will sit alongside its existing HRIS and SAP SuccessFactors services in Australia and New Zealand, which were strengthened by the RKM Consulting purchase.

The two October deals point in different directions. The Australian purchase adds consultants and local customers, while SnapAI adds a small team focused on a regulatory question that HR Path's clients will face as the EU AI Act takes effect.
