Investcorp takes majority stake in Spanish e-commerce marketing platform Connectif

The deal is the first Spanish investment for Investcorp Technology Partners and the sixth from its $570 million Fund V. Connectif says its software serves more than 3,000 brands; neither side disclosed the price or the size of the stake.

Investcorp Technology Partners, the technology investment arm of Investcorp, said on October 19, 2026 that it had acquired a majority stake in Connectif, a Spanish company that sells marketing automation software to online retailers. Investcorp did not buy the whole company, and it did not say what percentage it now holds.

Neither company disclosed the price or other financial terms. Investcorp said only that further details of the transaction would not be made public. Connectif published its own announcement the same day, calling the deal a strategic investment that would help it scale its platform, enter new markets and strengthen its position in customer engagement for e-commerce.

Andreas Di Palma, Connectif's founder and chief executive, remains in his role. Neither release mentioned any changes to the management team, and Investcorp's statement praised the existing leadership.

What Connectif built

Connectif offers omnichannel marketing automation for online shops. Its platform uses artificial intelligence and what the company calls a data-first architecture to collect customer data in one place, analyse it, and produce real-time insights that retailers can use to personalise the shopping experience across channels.

According to Investcorp, Connectif has supported more than 3,000 brands in sectors including fashion, technology, health and beauty, home and pet care, and its software is involved in more than 25 million orders a year. Connectif's own announcement describes its customers as retail brands in Europe and America, and its website says it is present in more than 30 countries and works with over 300 partners.

The two press releases identify Connectif only as a Spanish company. The business data provider CB Insights lists it as founded in 2018 and based on the university campus in Espinardo, in the region of Murcia. CB Insights also names Tokavi as an earlier investor, but no funding amounts were reported in the sources reviewed, and the company's headcount and revenue were not disclosed.

Why Investcorp is buying

Investcorp Technology Partners invests in founder-led technology companies that sell business-critical software and services to other businesses, mainly in software, data analytics, cybersecurity and fintech. Connectif is the group's first investment in Spain.

Georg Knoflach, a managing director at ITP, said in the Investcorp release that the way companies engage with their customers is changing because of data and artificial intelligence, and that Connectif is well placed to benefit from that shift. He added that ITP looks forward to working with the company as it grows its platform and expands internationally.

Di Palma said Connectif's goal has always been to help brands get more value from their customer data, and that ITP's experience in the technology sector would support the company's next phase of growth. Dealroom, which covered the deal, reported that the investment is meant to support international expansion and strengthen Connectif's position in Europe.

The sixth deal from Fund V

The investment comes from Investcorp Technology Partners Fund V, which closed in May 2024 with $570 million in commitments, above its $500 million target. Investors in the fund came from Europe, North America, Asia and the Gulf states. Its predecessor, ITP IV, raised $400 million. Investcorp says its lower mid-market technology strategy has been running for more than 20 years.

Connectif is the sixth company in Fund V's portfolio, after HWG Sababa, Unifyr, NetRom Software, VEDA and Shine. When the fund closed, Investcorp said it would take controlling stakes in companies with roughly $10 million or more in revenue and positive EBITDA, usually investing between $30 million and $75 million of equity, often as the company's first institutional investor. Investcorp did not say whether the Connectif deal fits those ranges, and Connectif's financial figures were not published.

A consolidating market for marketing software

The deal comes as larger players buy into e-commerce marketing tools. Dealroom placed it alongside other recent consolidation in the field, including dotdigital's purchase of Alia Software and MoEngage's acquisition of Aampe.

For Connectif's customers, the two companies did not announce changes to the product or to pricing. Both releases framed the deal as a source of capital and support for growth, with the existing founder and management team continuing to run the business under majority ownership by Investcorp.
