Globalway, Inc., an IT consulting and recruiting company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, said on October 14, 2026 that it had made LHit Inc. a strategic group company by acquiring its shares. LHit is a data analytics and data engineering firm founded in July 2010 that sells and implements the data platforms Dataiku and Alteryx.
Globalway's own announcement did not give the size of the stake or the price. Nihon M&A Center's deal news service reported that Globalway will buy 89.8% of LHit's issued shares, which makes LHit a subsidiary, and that the share transfer agreement and the transfer itself are both scheduled for the end of October 2026. The deal had therefore not closed when it was announced. Terms were not disclosed.
LHit's representative director, Tomohiro Ishikawa, will continue to run the company, according to Globalway and the Japanese business site VOIX biz. Globalway's release gives LHit's location as Minato-ku, Tokyo. Nihon M&A Center described LHit as based in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture; this article follows Globalway's release.
What LHit does
LHit works in what Globalway calls AI data analysis and AI data engineering. It offers consulting on how companies use their data, support for running data operations and making work more efficient, and full-stack engineering help. It is a sales agent and implementation partner for both Dataiku and Alteryx, and it has completed more than 25 Alteryx implementations since 2017.
Its customers are mainly large companies in manufacturing, finance, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and advertising. Globalway described LHit as a small, elite team of data scientists and data engineers, but neither company gave a headcount. Nihon M&A Center said LHit also provides analysis consulting built on low-code and no-code business intelligence tools and runs training programmes for data analysts.
The sources did not report any outside funding or investors for LHit, and did not give its revenue or profit.
Why Globalway is buying
Globalway is headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, and is led by Masato Kakumi, its chairman and president. It reports three segments: Digital Solutions, Career Innovation and Creator Economy. VOIX biz reported that the company calls itself an AI-native company and is converting all of its businesses to AI. Its offerings include an AI development platform called QwikBuild, Salesforce and MuleSoft implementation, IT consulting and recruitment support.
Globalway's release opened by arguing that practical AI has moved data use into a new stage. The company said that pairing LHit's analytics and data engineering with its own IT consulting, cloud services and AI system development would let it support clients from start to finish, from data strategy and infrastructure through to implementation and day-to-day adoption. Nihon M&A Center described the aim as one-stop, data-driven support for digital transformation.
VOIX biz linked the deal to growing demand for preparing company data for AI agents and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and to a shortage of data engineers in Japan. Nihon M&A Center said LHit's training programmes should help Globalway find and develop data-analysis staff, who are in short supply, and build that capacity in-house.
What the companies plan
Globalway listed several areas where it expects the two companies to work together. The first is cross-selling, with each company offering the other's services to its own customers. The second is designing what it called AI-ready data architecture, in which AI agents can reach the right data under set rules. The third is hiring: Globalway plans to use its recruiting business to help LHit grow its team.
Globalway also plans to widen LHit's vendor partnerships beyond Dataiku and Alteryx. It named business intelligence and visualisation tools and security log analysis as areas to add, and said it wants to offer solutions that are not tied to a single vendor.
A busy month for Globalway
The LHit deal came at the end of a run of announcements from Globalway. On October 8, 2026 it launched a digital transformation support service for small and medium-sized businesses. On October 9 it said it had set up a new company to build a software platform on which AI builds business systems on its own.
